peace in shock times

We are still feeling at peace about our decision to move to Cochrane. Quite excited to take a day trip there tomorrow. I'm still in shock. We sure need godly direction. Selling our home will be the major concern.

Mixed emotions

Going to see Dr Herbert to ask if weather affects FMS. Little excited about her answer and how that will affect us. Feel too old to move but neither do I like pain and depression.
Boy did I get a direct hit. Dr. Herbert said the wind in Lethbridge is the worst anywhere and to have any kind of inflammation is only made worse there. She strongly suggested moving from L. This is a major blow to us. What to do?

complaint day

3 days of wind. It's unrelenting, depressing and unbearable. Paprika had fun chasing the leaves.

PInk tutu doesn't necessarily get you in

Dear little Claire had on her pink tutu but could only peak thru the crack of the door to watch Emmeline dance. I call that "eating your heart out."

Pain levels

Never thought the day would come when I journal about my pain levels.

A new spice dog

Basil arrived last night at 8 p.m. Labor before giving birth is never forgotten but I'm thankful that I got to experience it in real life.

Sunshine is good for the soul

Hey the sun is shining. The first time in about a month. Fun to watch Sagey Pooh lay down in the sun belly up.

A teacher's concerns for the future

I'm still thinking about the Oprah show yesterday on the state of education in the public schools. Thankful I could discuss this with Michelle today and that they are going to make sure their kids get a great education.

We called Thomas on his 5th birthday today and told him we loved him. As we were hanging up , we heard him tell his parents, "They love me"

Where is Santa?

Four stages of life:

1. You believe in Santa Claus
2. You don't believe in Santa Claus
3. You are Santa Claus
4. You look like Santa Claus

Eyes lIght up

Do a child's eyes actually "light up"?
Clairi's sure do when she gets her hands on the dog's "Be quiet" squirt bottle.

After 3 new granddaughters, it is special to babysit my newest grandson and he is a cutie or should I say "handsome" lad.

Boo Hoo

Some days I don't like being myself. Today I think I will be Cinderella, before she met the prince, and go back to the drudgery of chores. No castle or glass slippers or mice to help me.

Live life over??

Would I want to relive my life? Tony Blair's mother said "No, she didn't want to go through all the pain again." I think I would agree. Maybe there are some things I would do over and change, but overall my life has been good and I feel blessed and I wouldn't desire to relive the PAIN parts.

Can she bake a berry pie?

Hey I can still bake a Saskatoon berry pie. I can still cut crooked pieces. I don't suppose that will ever change.

THE SHACK

The author of THE SHACK was interviewed. He said the shack represented his heart and soul. Hmmmm I like that.
I think of Psalm 61 as I see my soul as a safe house at the center of which is the Throne sitting in the full light of God. Steady Love and Good Faith are the lookouts. I am the poet inside who is singing God's glory and living what I sing every day.
It's the outside of the shack that bothers me. The paint is cracked in colors I don't even like. The foundation has cracks but I'm still standing. I think the paint got put on while in Ministry. Lots to ponder.

Emmeline: Nana lets sit on the stool and talk.
Nana: OK, What shall we talk about?
E: Lets talk about how much you love me.

Claire ready for Linden fun
When younger, we work for wealth and spend our health. After we retire, we spend our wealth to regain our health.

peace in familiarity

I realized how good it is to fellowship and to hear an explanation of "leaving father or mother for My sake"...it's all about following Christ who is my main relationship.

ON another note: Being a Nana means you take care of GKids in church so miss the sermon. Thankfully, James' sermons are on Internet. I see that Nanas are in a league of their own in church.
