Team work
Bob and I are still a team. We load second hand washers into the van and unload it into the basement after taking out the broken down one. "Broken down" means Bob can't fix it. The trip to the dump will happen tomorrow.

birds and bugs
I hadn't walked "The Mile" in a long while. Today I remembered why not...the mosquitos and the blackbirds. We have a mutual hate relationship.

old people- young hearts
Claire
When I look at people who are over 60 years I feel a kinship with them and not a feeling that they are too old. The spirit can be youthful and they probably don't feel any different than they did 50 years ago. Yes the body may tire more easily but they are still people. My perspective changes as I get older.

lemon squirt
I am now at the point where I have added lemon juice to the "Be Quiet" squirt water> What a character.

wisdom from a 4 year old.
I was disciplining Paprika because she was barking and jumping and being noisy.

Culture shock
Our first warm sunny Saturday in years ?? We went garage saleing and out for breakfast.
I love studying cultures/ethnic groups. The Hutterites go garage saleing too. The huge van drops off 3 women and 1 man at each sale and then makes the rounds to pick them all up again. They must love an outing as well. They are so large they plug up the walkways. Obviously, they can cook. The little girls are so delighted to buy the pretty trinkets and lotions. Sweet.

weather blues
So what kind of weather do I really prefer? I'm tired of winter, the wind, and don't like heat above +22.
Hmm warm days with rain and cool evenings sounds about right.

93 year old aunt
Today I've been thinking of my aunt Hulda who is still alive and alert. I wonder if there is anything in her life that she would have done differently. She lived as a captive during the Congo uprising and was rescued by the mercenaries.
Someday I might blog about what I would have done differently. I do know God has never failed me.

agonizing day
The agony of being a Grandmother is waiting for a new grandbaby to arrive. Was labor this long in the olden days? Maybe longer and more painful. Good thing we forget.
