blizzard warning
We got a lot of wet snow and lived without power for about 7 hours. How dependent we are on electricity and internet.

d's and dil's
Today I am thankful for thoughtful daughters and daughters in law. They are so willing to help out with family dinners. Thanks my lovely girls. You always know when I need a hand. Michelle. the cream puffs were incredible. Jenny, you make the best pasta sauce. Carla, you sure do know how to set a table for 14.
Kris's comment, "Mom this is what your family sounds like" You'd have to be here to understand the happy noise level.

good and bad
It was fun digging in the dirt today. Not having wind sure helps. I love to dig with my fingers...sans gloves. The sensation of touch, I hope it always stays normal. What do I love to touch? baby skin, rose petals, dirt yielding to my strength, soft, silky ears of a spaniel and a warm facecloth in the morning.
On a sad note: Rosie left us to go to her new home in Raymond.

Bird song
I have a strong dislike for birds. I hate sea gulls that chase me and grab chicken out of my hand, magpies, squawky bluejays, woodpeckers that hang on the cedar shingles above the bathroom window and do their stuff, blackbirds that sit on the neighbor's deck, tease the dogs, and eat their food and falcons that crash into the big front room window and look so dazed. Anything (red wing blackbirds in Coalhurst) that swoops at me is bad news.
Consequently, I am aware of every bird in my scope. Yes, I hear and appreciate the song of the meadowlark, (they have never bothered me), the evensong of the robins, the beauty of the bluebirds around Ashcroft BC, the eagles swooping for salmon in the Thompson River, and the amazing flight of the hummingbird. So now you know.

T.G.I.F.
Experienced a thirst for water during the service.
"Holy God, holy and mighty, holy, immortal one, have mercy upon us"
THE PRAYER OF ST RICHARD:
"Thanks be to you, O Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits which you have given us, for all the pains and insults which you have borne for us. O merciful Redeemer, Friend, and Brother, may we know you more clearly, love you more dearly, and follow you more nearly, now and for evermore AMEN."
